Crossover's Timeline

2001:
Crossover Ministries was incorporated on November 15, 2001. 

Nonzo "Zo" Azubuike designed the official Crossover Ministries, Inc. trademark and logo in December.


2002:
Construction on the initial web page for Crossover Ministries began in March.
The Board of Directors was formed in May.
In July, Jonathan Barnett and Matt Brown traveled to Europe to make international contacts and prepare the way for the 2003 Summer Tour.
Crossover Ministries received 501c3 tax-exempt status in November of 2002.

2003:
Crossover Ministries had its first USA summer basketball camp in Ft. Collins CO. Over 50 kids were in attendance and over 20 received the eternal crossover (salvation). 

Crossover Ministries took its first tour, a men’s team consisted of 12 collegiate basketball players from around the United States. The team came home with a 9-1 record.

2004:
Crossover Ministries has a USA summer basketball camp in Hazel Crest, Illinois.

Crossover Ministries takes two men’s team to Europe. Countries toured were Germany, Czech Republic and Italy. Tour B’s team broke the record for most 3-pointers (31) in a single game for the city of Berlin! The two teams combined for a 17-2 record.

2005:
Crossover Ministries establishes offices in Denver, CO.


Crossover Ministries has two USA summer basketball camps in Littleton, CO and Arvada, CO.

Crossover Ministries takes its first women’s team overseas along with the men’s team.  CM hosted the most overseas camps it ever has in a single tour. 


Crossover Ministries has a USA basketball camp in Littleton, CO in the fall.



2006:
In January, Crossover Ministries become owners of a new IBL minor professional basketball team, the Colorado Crossover.


Crossover Ministries hosts high school boys Team Tournament for the first time in May and June in Aurora, CO.  Over 30 teams attended.

2007:
In January, Crossover starts the second straight year of running an IBL (International Basketball League) franchise team; The Colorado Crossover.
In June, CI teams up with FCA to put on a basketball & football camp at North High School in Denver, Colorado. CI/FCA leaders & volunteers ministered to over 100 kids.
From June 24 - August 19, Crossover teams up with News Release Basketball to tour Germany and France.
September 22 - 23, 2007: Crossover had its first annual Staff Leadership Retreat in Breckenridge, Colorado.

2008:
May 13, Crossover put on a special one-day basketball clinic at the Mt View Youth Services Correctional Facility in Lakewood, CO.
July 26 - August 16, 2008: Crossover takes one co-ed tour to Germany, France and Czech Republic. The tour team directed 3 camps and witnessed many "eternal crossovers.”
September 26, 2008: Crossover’s name changed to Crossover International, Inc.
September 27 - 28, 2008: Crossover has its annual Staff Leadership Retreat in Breckenridge, Colorado.
October 4, 2008: Crossover has a tour testimonies service at Church In The City in Denver, Colorado.


2009:
May 15, 2009: Crossover came back to the Mt. View Youth Services Correctional Facility in Lakewood, CO to put on another special one day basketball clinic.
July 23 - 25, 2009: 
Some of Crossover's Alumni joined together for a retreat with fellowship, worship, devotions, and fun in the mountains of Golden, Colorado.


July 25 - August 15, 2009: 
CI took a successful series of tours with teams that toured Germany, France, Romania, & Czech Republic.
September 25 - 27, 2009: 
Twelve of Crossover International's leadership team had it's annual Staff & Leadership Retreat in Lyons, Colorado laying out goals and plans for the year.

2010:

May 21, 2010: 
Crossover put on a special one-day basketball clinic at the Mt View Youth Services Correctional Facility in Lakewood, CO. 

May 21-24, 2010:
 Crossover holds its first Leadership & Tour Directors Boot Camp to prepare the leaders for the summer trips.
May 29 - June 8, 2010:
 Crossover partners up with NBC Camps and Basketball Maui to put on a 5-day basketball Camp in Maui, Hawaii. Over 70 kids made decisions to follow Christ.

July 24 - August 14, 2010: 
Starting off with training camp held at Horn Creek in Westcliffe. Colorado, CI took a successful series of tours with teams that toured Germany, France, Romania, Serbia & Czech Republic. It was the largest combination of tours Crossover has ever had. Many kids in each country were ministered to in awesome ways.
September 24 – 26, 2010: Thirteen of Crossover International's leadership team had it's annual Staff & Leadership Retreat in Lyons, Colorado laying out goals and plans for the year.

2011:
April 9, 2011: Inaugural year for Crossover’s “Mile High Madness” 3 on 3 basketball tournament. Crossover partnered with Above & Beyond to produce a successful tournament – creating an event for the local community to anticipate year by year.
May 1, 2011: 
Crossover makes it’s annual visit to Mt View Youth Services Correctional Facility to put on a special one-day basketball clinic in Lakewood, CO. 

May 1 -3, 2011:
 Crossover holds its annual Leadership & Tour Directors Boot Camp to prepare the leaders for the summer trips.

May 27 - June 8, 2011: Alumni Retreat in Maui, HI. Crossover teams up with Basketball Maui and NBC Camps to minister to over 250 kids during a 5-day camp.
July 23 - August 13, 2011: The Lord once again uses Crossover to successfully minister through the sport of basketball in Romania, France, Germany, and Czech Republic... Many kids gave their lives to the Lord and made the "eternal crossover" - to God be all the praise and glory!
